Gender Image - Nonbinary

A person who identifies as non-binary cannot identify or connect with conventional male or female genders, considered beyond genders. Non-binary individuals may identify within the gender spectrum and often see themselves outside male and female personas. Non-binary identifies may include shifting or fluctuating between masculine to feminine versions, leaning more towards one than the other or a unique interpretation of gender. Non-binary is an umbrella term for those who cannot identify with traditional gender definitions and do not subscribe to societal expectations of typical gender expressions or roles. The term is more commonly used to refer to gender expression (how a person presents themselves, how they act or behave) instead of identifying and communicating their gender (their internal sense of self)
